How to save your first product.

Pricemist is your shopping workspace — start with what you want to buy, not with a technical step. Open Add in the app to search or paste a link in one place. We add it to your library and watch the price over time.

  • Search in the app — Type what you're thinking about buying, pick a result, and tap Track. No link required to get started. You can track several items while the dialog stays open.
  • Paste a link — Already on the product page elsewhere? Paste the URL in the same Add field at app.pricemist.com.
  • Chrome extension — Install from the Chrome Web Store for one-click save on any product page.
  • Any store — Amazon, Apple, Nike, IKEA, Sephora, Best Buy, Farfetch, and thousands more.
  • Mobile share — iOS and Android apps are coming soon; you'll be able to share a link straight to Pricemist.

Not a comparison engine. Search helps you save something you've decided on — we monitor those prices over time; we don't hunt for who's cheapest today. If we can't match a listing automatically, paste the store link you prefer and we'll watch that exact price.

collections

Organize with collections.

Your dashboard is your library — every item you've saved lives there. Group products into collections or wishlists however you like: gift ideas, wardrobe plans, home projects, or a single "maybe later" list.

  • Drag-and-drop — Reorder items, move them between collections, or leave them unassigned.
  • Multiple layouts — Switch between compact, comfortable, detailed, list, and masonry views.
  • Sections (Plus) — Split a collection into named sections. Free users can see sections but get an upgrade prompt when creating or editing them; your section data is preserved if you downgrade.
  • Save unlimited, watch up to 5 — On the free Collector plan you can save as many items as you want, but automatic price checks apply to up to 5 watched items at a time.

price alerts

How alerts work.

Only watched items get automatic background price monitoring. Save-only items stay in your library but don't receive cyclical checks or alerts — turn on Watch when you're ready to track a price.

  • In-app bell — Price-drop notifications appear in your Pricemist dashboard.
  • Instant email — Get an email as soon as a watched item's price moves.
  • Daily digest — One email at 08:00 your local time summarizing recent drops.
  • Weekly digest — A roundup every Saturday at 08:00 local. You can enable multiple channels at once.
  • Email feedback — Price-drop emails include thumbs-up and thumbs-down links so you can tell us if an alert was helpful.

Configure alert preferences in Settings inside the app. Choose what fits your shopping rhythm — instant pings, a daily summary, or a weekly catch-up.

Public profiles & shareable links.

Sharing is entirely optional. By default your saves are private — you choose what to share and with whom.

  • Public profile — At pricemist.com/u/<username>/, showcase your collections like a shoppable storefront.
  • Shareable collection links — Each collection can have its own link — keep it private or send it to friends and family.
  • Hearts — Visitors can heart items on public pages (anonymous, no account required).
  • Your choice — Make your profile public, share individual collections, or keep everything to yourself.

The Pricemist Chrome extension adds a save button to any product page you're browsing. One click sends the item to your dashboard — no copy-pasting URLs.

Coins, instant checks, & Boost monitoring.

In the app you'll see coins — that's the user-facing name for on-demand price checks. (Our internal code still says "credits," but everywhere you look in the product, it's coins.)

  • Check Now — Run an instant price check on any item for 1 coin.
  • Boost 24h — Tighter monitoring for 24 hours (checks every 4 hours) for 5 coins.
  • Boost 7 days — A full week of close monitoring for 25 coins — ideal for Black Friday or flash sales.
  • Monthly refill — Collector gets 10 coins/month; Plus gets 100 coins/month. Buy extra packs anytime.

Both Free and Plus receive monthly coins. Boost is for when you need closer attention — not for everyday watching, which is included on watched items.

Does Pricemist find the lowest price across stores?
No. We're not a comparison engine for who's cheapest today. You save specific product links; we track those prices over time and alert you when they move — so you can time a purchase, not chase every storefront.
Is Pricemist a coupon finder?
No. Coupon tools try codes at checkout when you're already buying. Pricemist watches items you're still thinking about and tells you when the price drops — days or weeks before you're ready to buy.
Is it only for Amazon?
No. Pricemist works with any online store — Amazon, Apple, Nike, IKEA, Sephora, ASOS, and thousands more. Search in the app, save from your browser with the extension, paste a link on the web, or use Share on your phone (iOS and Android apps — coming soon).
What's the difference between saving and watching?
Saving adds an item to your library — unlimited on the free plan. Watching turns on automatic background price checks and alerts. Free users can watch up to 5 items at once; anything above the cap stays save-only (no cyclical checks or alerts). Plus unlocks unlimited watches.
How often are prices checked?
Watched items get automatic background price monitoring on a regular schedule — no manual refreshing needed. For tighter windows (flash sales, Black Friday), spend coins on Check Now (instant) or Boost (every 4 hours for 24 hours or 7 days).
Can I start without a product link?
Yes. In the app, search for what you want to buy — pick a result and tap Track. We add it to your library and watch the price from there. It's a faster way to start, not a hunt for today's cheapest deal across every store.
How does product search work?
Open Add in the app and type what you're thinking about buying — same field as pasting a link. Pick a search result and tap Track; we find a store page and start monitoring in the background. If we can't match automatically, paste the store link you prefer. Search results are a shortcut into your library — not a comparison of who's cheapest today.
How do I save products?
Start with what you want to buy. Open Add in the app — search for a product and tap Track, or paste a link in the same field. Use the browser extension while you shop for one-click save. On your phone, use Share to send a link to Pricemist (iOS and Android apps — coming soon).
What can I do for free while I'm still deciding?
Save anything from any store and keep it in collections — wishlists, gift lists, whatever makes sense. Watch up to 5 items for automatic price-drop alerts. No credit card, no expiry. It's a good place to park things you want but aren't ready to buy yet.
Can I use it for free forever?
Yes. The Collector plan is free forever — save unlimited items, watch up to 5, share collections, and get 10 Boost coins each month. Plus adds unlimited watches, sections, return reminders, and 100 coins/month if you need more.
What are Boost coins?
Some prices move fast — Black Friday deals, flash sales, limited drops. Boost coins let you run an instant Check Now (1 coin) or watch an item more closely for 24 hours (5 coins) or 7 days (25 coins). Both Free and Plus get coins each month.
Can I share my collections?
Yes, if you want to. Each collection can have its own shareable link — keep it private or share it with whoever you choose. If you make your profile public at pricemist.com/u/yourname/, it becomes a storefront others can browse, heart, and follow. All optional, all free.
